Orange Sound Charge - T-shirt with a mobile phone charging

For the past few years, mobile phone operator Orange is an unusual variety of public chargers for mobile phones (see note Orange Power Pump - mobile phone charging in the campaign. This year, the operator Orange has developed a t-shirt-charging Orange Sound Charge.

It has a piezoelectric film (used in acoustic Hi-Fi-speakers), which is like a big microphone, absorbs external sound waves through the quartz crystals and transforms them into an electrical charge. Over the weekend the noise level of 80 dB is generated up to 6 W / h of electricity, which is enough to charge the two standard mobile phone or a smartphone.

Visitors to the music festival in Glastonbury have the opportunity to try out Orange Sound Charge in action, and perhaps in the near future it will be available for sale worldwide.
